Threatened by Grassroots Fundraising, Republicans Add Cravaack to the "Patriot Program"
After watching me crisscross the district and out raise Rep. Chip Cravaack by over $75,000, John Boehner and the House Republicans added him to their list of endangered incumbents. This is a signal to their corporate backers that his campaign is in trouble and needs help.
It’s no surprise that the GOP is rushing to prop up Rep. Cravaack’s campaign. They are afraid of our growing army of grassroots donors, which has swelled to more than 10,000 supporters and are afraid that they are seeing me all over this district.
Directing their corporate backers to funnel even more money to Cravaack through the “Patriot Program” is the GOP’s desperate attempt to keep the first-term congressman in office. They can’t afford to lose Cravaack or his consistent votes to end Medicare so he can give millionaires even more tax cuts and to restrict women’s access to contraception.
We need to fight back now to take back Congress and make sure it is our priorities that come first. I will fight to strengthen Medicare, end the war on women, and most importantly to help our economy create good jobs.
