Big corporations and the wealthy are getting all of the breaks right now in Washington. I am ready to go win the battles to put families first again.

(Biwabik, MN) - On July 4th, 8th District Congressional Candidate Tarryl Clark and her husband Doug greeted parade goers in five 4th of July parades across Northeast Minnesota.

Tarryl and Doug started the 4th at the Eveleth parade, then Tarryl traveled to the parade in Nashwauk while Doug headed to International Falls to lead volunteers and staff in the parade for Tarryl.

Tarryl was next in Keewatin where she walked with local Steelworkers and greeted people gathered along its seven-tenths of a mile parade route. Following the parade, Tarryl visited with veterans at the American Legion Hall. After a stop at the Ash Trail Lodge to let the storm pass on his return trip from International Falls, Doug rejoined Tarryl for dinner in Virginia. Tarryl capped her day on the Range at the Biwabik parade before heading home to Duluth.

“I continue to hear the same thing from people in every corner of our district. They want someone with the energy to stand up to the Tea Party and fight for them in Washington,” said Clark after her third day of parades this week. “Big corporations and the wealthy are getting all of the breaks right now in Washington. I am ready to go win the battles to put families first again.”

Clark was in parades in Bemiji, Aurora and Gilbert previously this week and plans to go to the Heritage Days parade in Two Harbors and Karl Oskar Days parade in Lindstrom on Saturday.

Tarryl Clark continues to campaign throughout Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District to unseat Freshman Tea Party Congressman Chip Cravaack. Clark’s twenty-four years of work on behalf of Minnesota’s seniors, children, veterans, and families, and unmatched funding make her the strongest candidate to win in November. Since leaving the Minnesota Senate, Clark serves as the national co-chair of the Jobs! 21 Initiative with the Blue-Green Alliance, where she continues working to create good, sustainable jobs in Minnesota and around the country.
